Notice of Meeting
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is hosting a virtual industry kickoff meeting for the US-69 Modernization and Expansion Project design-build project on July 29, 2021. The project limits extend along US-69 in Johnson County from 103rd Street on the north end to 179th Street on the south end and includes the expansion of US-69 to six lanes. The project has received local and state approval to move forward as Kansas’ first Express Toll Lane project.
KDOT intends to initiate a two-stage design-build procurement process in late 2021 for the first phase of this project. The agenda for the meeting will include a summary of preliminary design activities, an overview of the project scope, budget, procurement process, and additional industry engagement opportunities. If you are a contractor, designer, DBE/WBE, or specialty business this meeting may be of interest to you. All industry representatives are invited to attend and ask questions of KDOT and their Project Management Consultant, HNTB.
The meeting will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021. The 60-minute meeting will include a presentation and questions/answers.
